Social Media

I found the page of Parks and Recreation on facebook.  Now I'm going to answer some questions about it.

  • I searched for the page;  the page did not attract me.  It could have attracted me, however, by advertising on facebook.
  • I feel comfortable contributing my input, but that's partially because I don't think it will ever be seen.  Parks and Recreation has almost three quarters of a million fans on facebook, and every thing they post gets dozens of comments.
  • I could contribute, as stated, by posting comments on the content they post.  I don't, however, because I don't see the point--it doesn't seem like anyone would ever see it.
  • This page gives me access to information and content that I wouldn't have had otherwise.
  • I don't use this page a lot;  if I did use it I would just use it to find videos from the show and not to interact with other fans.
  • This page uses me to make its numbers look better and to foster a sense of fan community online.  If I do comment, which I suppose isn't quite as unlikely as I've been making it sound, then any of my friends who saw it would know that I watched Parks and Recreation and talked about it;  this would be a form of free advertising.
There we are.  Hope my answers are satisfactory.  This keyboard is not.
